We can provide a hugely exhilarating day out Coasteering on the Dorset sea cliffs. All the 'action' is supervised by qualified and experienced instructors and full safety equipment is provided. For those who prefer a less "wet n'wild" experience we also offer a diverse range of Climbing Courses.
Our Coasteering sessions are suitable for adults and children (see below for age ranges). Depending on how much fun, adventure and the level of experience of your group, we select an appropriate location from our range of route to guarantee a suitably challenging experience. The prevailing weather and sea conditions also affect the choice of location and if the conditions on the day are not favourable for Coasteering at any of our locations, the activity will be offered as a Climbing experience.
Booking is easy!
- Choose from Taster session, Intermediate route or an extreme day of coasteering.
- Contact us with your ideal date and group numbers (6 min to 15 people max).
- To secure the day/ session we need payment to confirm the date.
- Once we have received payment then we will send instruction on where to meet, kit list and our health form to fill in.
- Lastly to turn up on the day and to have fun in the sun!
For all our sessions, participants will meet the instructors at the nearest car park to the coasteering location and will be expected to provide their own snacks, drinks and lunch. Wet suits and full safety equipment is provided along with qualified and experienced staff.

Coasteering Taster Session
Ideal for first timers. A taster session is an excellent way to have a first fun experience of Coasteering at Swanage sea cliffs. Typically on this coasteering journey there is a choice of different jumps reaching 20ft / 7m (all jumps are optional), some short sea swims between rocky outcrops and some short and easy climbing. Our fully qualified guides will lead you around the base of the cliffs and find you the most enjoyable route for your session. Prepare to have an enjoyable adventure!
All participants must be confident in the sea and be over 14 years old

Intermediate Coasteering Route
Ideal for Stag and Hen groups, corporate team building days and private groups. This route will usually involve some sea swimming, jumps of up to 30ft/10m (bigger jumps are optional), simple climbing and a exploration of sea caves (depending on the tides and the confidence of the group, as the caves may be subject to a low roof). The route is great fun with some South Westly swell coming in. By the end of the session you will have stepped outside your comfort zone and have experienced one of the best coasteering areas in Swanage. Prepare to be excited!

Extreme Coasteering Day
Ideal for Adventurous groups. This wild action-packed day will kick off with our intermediate route as a warm up in the morning. After a break in the sunshine for a packed lunch (not provided), the day will continue at our extreme location, where there is a 60ft/20m abseil to the base of the cliff. The journey to the exit point will involve swims, jumps, tunnels and climbs. The jumps will be up to 35ft/11m and the swims could be as far as 85m. By the end of the day, you will have gained access to the most outstanding area of the Swanage coastline - something that is usually only accessible to good climbers and strong kayakers. Prepared to be thrilled and to be pushed both mentally and physically!
All participants must be able to swim, be fit and be over 18 years old.
All participants must have been Coasteering before and be confident in larger swells.

Introduction to Coasteering Open Sessions
Ideal for individuals, we are offering the unique opportunity to explore the Dorset coastline. The journey will involve jumps reaching 8m, some short sea swims between rocky outcrops and some short and easy scrambling. A wet and wild adventure suitable for all (subject to conditions below).
Dorset Adventures reserve the right to cancel Open Sessions if our minimum numbers are not met. All sessions are subject to our Booking Conditions.
